Want to work on the roads but don't have any experience? Would you like to learn lots of skills but can’t afford to train yourself? Why not train as you earn at South West Highways?
Following assessment days running between 13th and 17th June 2016 and an interview stage between 11th and 15th July 2016, applicants will work for us initially on a two week unpaid work experience placement.
Successful candidates will secure a two year contract starting 5th September 2016, which will be extended upon successful participation and completion of the apprenticeship. Participants will gain valuable knowledge from those around them. Candidates will also attend SWH Training in two week blocks for specific modules over the two year programme. The dedicated apprenticeship team at SWH Training will ensure you have all the support and the opportunities you need to achieve your goals.
In the first year the apprentice will be given the opportunity to work toward:
Emergency First Aid at Work
Cat & Genny
CSCS – Red Card
Functional Skills: English, Maths
In the second year the apprentice will be given the opportunity to work toward:

Street Works Operative
On completion the apprentice will be awarded the following qualifications:

Highways Maintenance (Construction) – Excavation Operations
|Level 2 Diploma||
Highways Maintenance – Excavation Operations
