This course aims to give candidates an overview of Health and Safety legislation, the hazards and risks associated with the use of abrasive wheels accident causes and prevention. It also aims to teach basic manual handling of equipment, the environment in which abrasive wheels are to be used/not used and the necessary safety checks which need to be completed prior to use.

Course requirements

Those wanting to take the Abrasive Wheels course will ideally have previous experience of working with abrasive wheels. All candidates wishing to undertake this course will need to have full PPE.

Qualifications gained

SWH Training certificate (renewed every five years).
