Cycle Trails

We have been responsible for creating a host of cycle trails across the region. The south west is home to some of the most well-known parks and beauty spots and significant investment has been made to give walkers and cyclists the chance to enjoy these – we have been at the forefront of cycle trail construction.

Examples of cycle trails we have been involved with include:

  • Exe Estuary Cycle - This project involved the completion of a 1.2km cycle path and footway along a challenging stretch of land by the Exe Estuary.
  • Granite and Gears A38 Bridge - Design, fabrication and installation of a 43m span steel equestrian/cycle bridge over the A38 dual carriageway, with a further 180m of steel ramps to connect to future sections of the cyclepath.
  • Wray Valley Cycle Trail – Provision of a new off-road community path for use by cyclists, pedestrians and equestrians, linking the village of Moretonhampstead with Lustleigh and Bovey Tracey. The works comprised the construction of a 2.5 metre wide shared cycleway/walkway approximately 1.33km long.
