Yeo Valley Farms factory build & refurbishment
SWH Build has undertaken a number of build and refurbishment projects for Yeo Valley Farms, including the new build of a 2,635 square metre extension to their Blagdon factory. This extension was purpose-built to house specialist yoghurt filling machines, capable of filling 48,000 pots of yoghurt per hour.
Our works included:
- The construction of the extension building using insulated wall panels
- The installation of stainless steel drainage
- The installation of power floated and Ucrete flooring
- The construction of an insulated roof
- The installation of food safe insect free doors
- The construction of a car park and access way
As part of the build we also created an undercroft, providing additional storage space for Yeo Valley’s equipment, spares and machinery.
Other works for Yeo Valley have included extensive refurbishment works at their Newton Abbot factory, including the complete demolition of existing layouts, restructuring, and the construction of a technical lab for testing and microbiology, toilet blocks, a reception and a kitchen area. We have also undertaken works at the Crewkerne Factory, including the installation of loading bays and dock levelling systems.
As food production factories, it was imperative that all of our works ensured a hygienic environment. To facilitate this, we used power floated and Ucrete flooring, and extra care was taken to ensure that there were no openings that would allow vermin to enter the buildings.
All of our works for Yeo Valley have taken place on live factory sites, and have been successfully completed on time.
