Announcement of Works for SWH Build at Westover Road, Bournemouth

SWH Build is pleased to announce that works on Westover Road, Bournemouth is due to commence at the end of September, leading into June 2015.
The programme of works will involve the reroofing of the main Premier Inn and the multi storey car park block, specialist refurbishment to the rear elevation and internal structural repairs to the multi storey car park.
SWH Build, a division of South West Highways Ltd, is in close contact with Bournemouth Borough Council to ensure the works cause minimal disruption to the surrounding area during busy periods.

Poole High School's refurb finished on time thanks to SWH Build

The works took place at the school from May until August, with SWH Build working to a non-negotiable deadline to coincide with the start of a new school year.
The programme of work involved the reroofing and recladding of existing porta cabin buildings, internal alterations, rock panel cladding and installing new windows and doors throughout.

Work on a £1.16m Enterprise Centre in Highbridge which will create jobs and boost the local economy is taking shape, with a number of key milestones reached.
Deputy Leader of Somerset County Council, Cllr David Hall led a delegation of Councillors to meet with managing agent of the site TDA and contractor South West Highways Ltd to see developments first hand.

SWH’s successful Poole Office, which opened a year ago, is delighted to have been awarded a contract at Poole High School.
The Exeter-based business which employs over 600 people in the West Country has a great deal of experience in the education construction environment.

SWH Build completed works at Axe Valley Community College

SWH recently completed building works at Axe Valley Community College seven weeks ahead of schedule. The works, carried out for Devon County Council, comprised of two main classrooms, a third smaller class room and a lobby entrance.
Our works also included the demolition of the existing rooms (including some asbestos removal) and construction of the building.
The construction was originally masonry, which SWH changed to closed panel timber frame solution for speed, and to reduce the amount of site traffic required to travel through the school.

SWH Build appoints Area Manager for Poole Office

SWH Build has announced the appointment of Luke Trussler as Area Manager for their Poole Office, commencing April 2013.
The growing regional office offers a local service reaching typically an hour's travelling time to Bridport, Yeovil, Salisbury and Southampton.
In harmony with the company's ethos of servicing local markets through local people, Luke is long experienced in the area, living and working there since he returned home from New Zealand in 2005. Since then he has gained considerable experience in the social housing sector.
In addition to area responsibility, Luke will strengthen SWH Build's offering to its social housing customers.

SWH Build project wins Best Education Project Award at the LA Building Cermony in Taunton
A project undertaken at Wellesley Park Primary School has been awarded the Somerset LABC "Best Education Project Award"

Torridge District Council - Appledore

The local fishing industry continues to play its part in the local economy and in 2007, Torridge District Council decided to invest in modernising the facilities for the local fisherman.
Their investment in the fish dock included work to three buildings.
The design and construction of a new two storey fish processing building containing:
- Storage and processing facilities
- Offices
- Welfare accomodation

Works comprised extensions to the loading area/distribution bays and refurbishments to food processing facilities, including an office fit out, decoration, electrical, infrastructure and welfare facilities.
