After recieving five consecutive RoSPA Gold medals, SWH has been presented with a special award at a recent gala dinner.

SWH were given the award after recieving 5 consecutive RoSPA Gold medals. It represents the constant commitment to raising the standards of health and safety management within the large organisation.

SWH delighted to be presented with a prestigious health and safety award at recent ceremony

The newly created supplier recognition scheme acknowledges the efforts of the HA's supply chain and their innovations which help them deliver a better service in the improvement of the road network in England.

Our application was triggered by an idea from an employee through our in-house suggestion scheme.

Road-worker Nick George and his colleagues had to regularly enter gravelled escape lanes to make good where drivers had strayed. This involved parking their maintenance vehicle on the approach lanes and sweeping the gravel from the carriageway; with their maintenance...

SWH Build project wins Best Education Project Award at the LA Building Cermony in Taunton

A project undertaken at Wellesley Park Primary School has been awarded the Somerset LABC "Best Education Project Award"

SWH Build started works at Wellesley Park Primary School in June 2010. The scheme consisted the controlled demolition of an existing classroom and the build of three classrooms, a staff room and a facilities room. The company is delighted the project won the award. SWH retains prestigious award
Investor In People award is renewed after thorough testing

South West Highways is pleased to announce it has retained recognition of its Investor In People status.

After a thorough review by an IIP officer, SWH has been congratulated on its many successes and is continuing to meet IIP standard. Human Resources Manager Lesley Code comments: "We are delighted to retain our IIP status, we work hard to create a safe and structured environment for our 600 employees. South West Highways is committed to best practice and our retained IIP status supports this."

South West Highways has held this accreditation since 2004.

Fourth prestigious award in a row

SWH is delighted to announce it has been awarded a RoSPA Gold award

South West Highways is pleased to announce it has won a Gold award in the prestigious RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2011. A great achievement, the company has reached Gold status for the last four years.
