SWH Build has won a Bronze award in the 2016 Considerate Constructors Scheme Site Awards for its work at Taunton’s Visitor Centre. Dave Eaves, the Site Manager for the project, was presented with the award at a ceremony in London.
The refurbishment project was completed in 2015, and saw the Grade II listed building undergo a complete overhaul to create a centre that was attractive to passers-by and easily accessible by all, whilst preserving its character and heritage.
Only top performing sites throughout the year are selected for these prestigious awards. The Considerate Constructors Scheme carries out audits at all registered sites...

A project undertaken at Wellesley Park Primary School has been awarded the Somerset LABC "Best Education Project Award"
SWH Build started works at Wellesley Park Primary School in June 2010. The scheme consisted the controlled demolition of an existing classroom and the build of three classrooms, a staff room and a facilities room. The company is delighted the project won the award. SWH will attend the highly anticipated awards ceremony in London alongside leading industry figures including Nick Baveystock, Director General of the Institution of Civil Engineers and Paul Everall, Chief Executive of the LABC (Local Authority Building Control). At the ceremony they will find out how their awards have been ranked; bronze, silver or gold.
The firm has been notified that they will be receiving one Considerate Constructor’s Award for the Devon County Council Highway Term Maintenance Contract Northern Division and a second for the Crediton Link Road project.

SWH Build is delighted to have been shortlisted as a finalist for the South West LABC Building Excellence Awards 2015! We have been shortlisted in the Best Educational Building category for the work we undertook at Preston Academy ASD Unit. The awards ceremony takes place on 12th June in Plymouth...fingers crossed!

SWH were so pleased to have been nominated for a Customer Satisfaction award as part of The British Quality Foundation's Achievement Awards.
To make this category, sponsored by FirstGroup UK Rail, was a fantastic achievement for us and a great night was had by all at the awards ceremony last Thursday in London.
The Achievement Awards are national annual awards that recognise exceptional achievement across the main areas of an organisation's operation.

Representatives from the organisation visited SWH’s HQ yesterday to see the innovative reedbed recycling facility which has reduced waste, saved costs and increased biodiversity on the site.
The judging panel will visit all four of the finalists short listed for this award over the next couple of days, from there, a winner will be chosen and then an overall winner of the Debi Award for 2014.

SWH were delighted to have our recent Sidmouth Recycling Centre Project nominated for this year’s ICE Project of the Year Awards.
The scheme was entered into the over £1M project and the Community Award categories, both of which were fiercely contested. While our scheme was not selected as the overall winner in either category, the judges were extremely complimentary and commented; ‘by its nature, as a recycling centre, this is a sustainable project. Construction in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty introduced some issues to the project in terms of landscaping and public consultation.

SWH has had its approach to occupational safety and health recognised in an awards scheme run by the safety charity, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).
It is SWH's sixth consecutive Gold Award and meant the company picked up its second Gold Medal in the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2013.

SWH and one of our employees have been awarded the prestigious City and Guilds Gold Medal for Excellence.
The award is in recognition of the achievements of apprentice Jed Saunders and the outstanding level of training SWH has provided.

South West Highways is delighted to be awarded a RoSPA Gold Medal Award for Occupational Health and Safety
