SWH Group scoops Apprenticeship Development Award

SWH Group has been awarded the Apprenticeship Development Award at this year’s Plymouth Herald Business Awards.

The ceremony, which took place 20 April at Plymouth Pavilions, saw more than 500 attendees gather to celebrate businesses that have helped shape the city’s success over the past year.

The awards had 17 categories and were presented by Paul Burton, Editor of The Herald and Sarah Pullen, regional managing director for The Herald's parent South West Trinity Mirror plc.

SWH was shortlisted in the ‘Apprenticeship Development’ category for its work in employing and promoting apprenticeships in Plymouth and the wider region. SWH has been shortlisted for this award before, but this is its first time winning the prestigious title.

Richard Towl, MD, said: “We are delighted to have our work in promoting and providing apprenticeships recognised and to have won this award, in such a competitive category, is a great honour. We have big plans for our work Plymouth in the coming months and years and look forward to working closely with the city’s vibrant communities and residents.”
