SWH Build wins Bronze award

SWH Build has won a Bronze award in the 2016 Considerate Constructors Scheme Site Awards for its work at Taunton’s Visitor Centre.  Dave Eaves, the Site Manager for the project, was presented with the award at a ceremony in London.

The refurbishment project was completed in 2015, and saw the Grade II listed building undergo a complete overhaul to create a centre that was attractive to passers-by and easily accessible by all, whilst preserving its character and heritage.

Only top performing sites throughout the year are selected for these prestigious awards. The Considerate Constructors Scheme carries out audits at all registered sites to ensure high standards and best practice in safety, community, environment and appearance.

The Considerate Constructors Scheme concluded that our site showed the highest levels of consideration towards the public, its workforce and the environment through adhering to the Scheme’s five-point Code of Considerate Practice:

Care about Appearance
Respect the Community
Protect the Environment
Secure everyone’s Safety
Value their Workforce

Richard Towl, MD of SWH Construction Ltd said: “This is a great achievement for us and I am delighted that our commitment to excellence and quality has been recognised by the Considerate Constructors Scheme. Huge congratulations to all those involved in the project. “

Shortly after receiving this award our friend and colleague Dave tragically passed away. Dave embraced Considerate Constructors with an enthusiasm and commitment which was so much a feature of his personality and he thoroughly deserved the credit for the award. He is sadly missed.
