SWH Civils nearing completion of Exeter Airport Access Road

The £1.4 million widening scheme on the access road to Exeter International Airport is reaching its final phase and is on schedule to be completed by the end of next month.

SWH Civils is carrying out the works and has informed local businesses, the Parish Council, and affected residents.

The current temporary one-way system on the B3184, which will improve access to the airport and adjacent Airport Business Park, will come to an end on Friday 20 February.

SWH Civils complete Collard Bridge in North Devon

SWH Civils has completed a new structure, built to replace a Grade Two Listed bridge in North Devon which washed away in winter floods in late 2012.

Collard Bridge at Snapper, near Barnstaple, is part of Devon County Council’s latest “legacy” funded projects to replace or repair structures damaged during the storms of 2012/13.

The new £380,000 structure, which uses concrete beams supported by reinforced concrete piled abutments, has been designed to improve resilience in future flood events.
